Global corona death toll rises

The number of COVID 19 affected people rose to 8,525,042 yesterday, and it will reach nine million in the coming days. The death toll rose to 456,973 and will reach 500,000 soon, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) statistics.

The United States of America records over two million confirmed cases, and over 100,000 deaths. Since many gather at various elections campaigns and the ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests intensifies in many states, the number of the affected people and death toll will rise unabated, USA health sources said.

On Saturday (20), six members of Trump election campaign in Tulsa, Oklahoma have been tested positive for Covid-19 and sent for quarantine.

Brazil is leading second with over 80,000 confirmed cases, and over 40,000 deaths.

Meanwhile, several countries have eased their lockdowns following health guidelines and protocols. Several health frontline workers are battling the virus with the least medical essentials putting service before life. Many are tirelessly working to provide food and other necessary services for the affected, WHO sources said.
