Mobile App for commuters

The National Transport Commission has decided to introduce a mobile application next week for the conveienice of the general public and commuters who commute by Sri Lanka transport board buses and private buses.

Accordingly Minster of Transport services Mahinda Amaraweera said that passengers will be able to make use of the app to report and complain of speeding, harassment and other issues faced by them when travelling in these busses. 

 

He also said that the app will make it easier for commuters to identify the timing of the respective buses they wish to take and to avoid wasting time when buses makes longer stops.

 

Commuters will be able to see realtime timetables as well as the precise location of the bus. This he said will assist to streamline the transport services offered to the general public.
