JVP ready to testify before Presidential Commissions

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) yesterday said they are always ready to give evidence before any Presidential Commission.

According to JVP Central Committee member Wasantha Samarasinghe, the JVP has made complaints of corruption which have allegedly been committed by both parties while in power.

He said his party did not hesitate to divulge corrupt deals of the Government that came into power in 2015.

“If we are summoned to give evidence before Presidential Commissions, we are ready to do so based on the instructions of our attorneys,” he said.

He said the Government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa can implement the recommendations of the Commissions appointed by the former President.

Samarasinghe said Advanced Level students will face an injustice if the Advanced Level examination is postponed.
