Lankans repatriated from Pakistan

A Srilankan Airlines flight arrived this morning with 129 Lankans stranded in Pakistan due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Flight UL-1282 had landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport with the 129 passengers from Karachi, today at around 4:40am.

All the passengers and the crew of the plane were subjected to PCR tests.

They are expected to be temporarily placed at four hotels until the results of the tests are received. 

More than 35 UL flights have operated during the pandemic to various parts of the world to bring back stranded Lankan passengers.
