Pigeon Island opened for tourists

The Pigeon Island National Park, which was closed for three months due to the COVID-19 epidemic, has been re-opened for tourists from today (15), officials at the Forest Conservation Department said.

Park Director Upali Kumaratunga said that 50 boats will be admitted to the park per day. Tourists who wish to dive should bring their diving equipment since the use of hired diving equipment is prohibited. Those coming to the ticket counter should keep a meter distance between them, the officials said.
