Follow ‘DREAM’ to prevent Covid-19

People should strictly follow the concept ‘DREAM’ to prevent a possible second wave of Covid-19, Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge said.

He said the acronym ‘DREAM’ stands for four main factors that are directly connected to preventing Covid-19: ‘D’ stands for distance. People should keep at least a one metre distance from another person at all times. The ‘RE’ stands for respiratory etiquette. All should wear a facemask when outdoors.

The letter ‘A’ stands for ‘aseptic technique’. People should wash their hands with soap and water often and when soap and water are not available, a hand sanitizer should be used.

The letter ‘M’ stands for mask. People should wear a facemask whenever going out of the house. People should strictly follow all health guidelines at all times to protect themselves from Covid-19, he added.
