Fourth year coloursman, all-rounder, right-handed opener, and right-arm medium pace opening bowler Seethaka Rajapakse Harsha Madusanka Soyza is the first eleven captain of Tissa Central, Kalutara.

Harsha had a good season in the recently concluded first eleven cricket season with 570 runs which included one century and five fifties. He also took 15 wickets and held 17 catches. Tissa Central played 13 inter-school matches and won 4 outright, 6 on first innings, lost 2 and one ended in a draw. Their Big Match “Battle of the Mangosteens” was postponed indefinitely due to the corona virus.

Tissa Central were the group leaders in division two tournament and lost to St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya in the two-day preliminary quarters.

In the one-day tournament they lost to Dharmaloka College, Kelaniya.

Harsha’s coaches were Sunil Silva, Rishan Sajith, Jeewan de Silva and his assistant Heshan Lakshitha. Their master-in-charge is Jagath Rasanjana Silva.

Harsha commenced his cricket career in the under 13 age group and played for the school team in 2011 and 2012 and was the vice- captain in 2012.

He played in the under 15 team in 2014 and 2015 and in second year was the deputy skipper. He played for the under 17 side in 2016 and 2017 and was the vice-captain in 2017.

He played in two Big Matches and two one day games in 2018 and 2019. His Principal Mrs. Lalani Mangalika Peiris with the aid of past cricketers has been always supportive of cricket at school.
