COVID 19 global death toll rises

The COVID 19 pandemic has killed nearly 4 million since it first originated in the Wuhu City, China, last year, according to the statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Yesterday, according to WHO statistics, 392802 people have died of COVID 19 and the number of deaths will pass four million in the coming weeks, while the virus would infect 7 million.

America recorded the highest number of deaths (100,000). The virus will infect 200,000 in the next few weeks as hundreds gather to protest over George Floyd’s death. Many more will be infected as the protests intensify throughout the country day by day.

The United Kingdom last week recorded 40,000 COVID 19 deaths and over 20,000 cases. Shortage of medical gear hampers the battle against the virus.

WHO officials last week made it is mandatory to wear masks in public places until a vaccine is found. Meanwhile, many countries have eased lockdowns but advised their people strongly to follow health guidelines as some countries are undergoing a second wave of the virus.
