Journalist told to self-quarantine

A provincial journalist attached to the print media who had covered Minister Arumugam Thondaman’s funeral extensively was asked to self-quarantine for 14 days after showing signs of fever.

According to medical sources, the journalist had been reporting on the demise of the late minister from day one and had travelled to all locations of the funeral procession.   He had been actively moving around the residence of late minister Arumugam Thondaman.

On Tuesday (2) he had complained of throat and body pains, and later visited the Dikoya Base Hospital, and health officials had suggested he self-quarantines for 14 days.
