COVID 19 infected Army Officer’s family tested negative for virus

The family members of the Army Officer of Kandana, Horana, who has contracted COVID 19 while on duty at the Katunayake International Airport, have not been infected with the virus, Madurawala Medical Officer Dr. Erandi Kularatne said.

The officer’s wife, two children and his drivers have not been infected with the virus, Dr.Erandi Kularathne further said.

His wife and children have been sent to a quarantine center at an Ayurvedic centre in Ragama as soon as the Army Officer was tested positive for COVID 19.

Since the Army Officer had followed health guidelines properly, the risk of infections socially has been minimal, the medical sources said.
