HIP donates PPE to H’tota District Hospital

The Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG) donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the District General Hospital in Hambantota, during the months of March and April for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

Over five thousand two hundred surgical face masks and gloves, 500 N90 masks, and 50 Personal Protective Suits were handed over by port officials recently, to Dr. Suranga Ubeysekara, Medical Director of the District General Hospital. Tissa Wickramasinghe, Chief Operating Officer of HIPG, Yongzhuang Li, Designate General Manager Policy and Strategy Planning, Jeevan Premasara, General Manager HR and members of the management of HIPG were present at the occasion.

The District General Hospital of Hambantota is a screening centre for COVID-19.
