1710 curfew violators arrested

Within 24-hour period the police had arrested 1710 persons who had violated the curfew orders. The police had also taken into their custody 557 vehicles.

Since the curfew was imposed from 20th of March to 6.00 am 25th May the police have arrested 64,387 persons who had violated the curfew regulations and 18,619 vehicles had also been taken into custody.

Meanwhile, cases have been filed against 20,497 curfew violators so far, the police said.
