COVID-19 recoveries now 620

Sixteen patients who had contracted the Coronavirus (COVID-19) recovered yesterday bringing the total number of recoveries to 620, the Health Ministry announced yesterday.

Accordingly, the total number of cases stood at 1,055 as of yesterday evening.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report updated yesterday, 426 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals.

Nine patients have died while 620 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January and discharged last month, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 49,124 PCR tests have been conducted to detect COVID-19 infected persons from February 18 to May 21, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
