Mineth excels at cricket and studies in Adelaide

Eighteen-year-old Sri Lankan Mineth Heenkenda presently residing in Adelaide,

South Australia has been a member of the South Australian Under 17 cricket team.

While studying in a private school in Adelaide he has got through the Grade 12 Examination extremely well and received a scholarship from the Melbourne University to follow a Degree Course in Medicine or Engineering commencing from 2020.

When he represented the South Australian Under 17 cricket team Mineth was the youngest member of the side.

Before migrating to Australia in 2015 Mineth led the Nugegoda Lyceum Under 15 cricket team in the international cricket tournament 2014. He took a double hat trick i.e. 6 wickets in 8 balls.

After he migrated to Australia he Joined Unley cricket team in the Under 14 level and was selected for the district team.

Mineth is the son of Pradeep Heenkenda, former cricket aaptain of Dharmaraja College, Kandy.
