Third batch of Chinese test kits, PPEs delivered

At 18:45pm yesterday, China Eastern Airlines flight MU231, operated by its newer wide-body Airbus 33L aircraft, arrived at BIA from Shanghai with 30,000 Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Test Kits and 12,330 Disposable Coverall (PPEs), which is part of the third batch of medical supplies donation by the Chinese Government to Sri Lanka. Due to the limitations of manufacture and logistics, remaining medical supplies of this batch donation namely 17,670 PPEs, 30,000 KN95 masks, 30,000 protective goggles and 600,000 surgical masks, will be shipped in coming days at an earliest possible schedule, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka said yesterday.
