Australia facilitates foreign students

The Australian government has increased the flexibility of regulations to make it easier for international students to continue their studies in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.

David Holly, the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka in a letter to the parents of Sri Lankan students currently in Australia said his Government will be flexible in cases where Coronavirus has prevented international students meeting their visa conditions (such as not being able to attend classes).

He said the students, who have been in Australia for longer than 12 months and finding themselves in financial hardship, will be able to access their Australian superannuation.
