A helping hand

In order to extend a helping hand to those who come from the poorer strata of the society in the villages of Ampara District  aftermath  the enforcement of continuous curfew by the Government due to the spread of Corona Virus –Covid 19, Several Voluntary Organizations within the areas have come forward to assist them with their basic requirements.  A Voluntary group called “Ontrineintha Anpukkarangal” (Loving hands joined together) in Alayadivembu DS Division has been distributing dry rations to the needy. Here, the Volunteers of the group distributing their gifts of love to an old lady at her house.  who are very badly affected by the continuous curfew which curtails their daily routine coolie works. It may be noted that thousands of people whose income from their daily coolie works are affected and confined to their houses without any source of income.
