Disinfection progamme at Medical Faculty hospital in KDU

As a measure of controlling the spreading of new coronavirus in the country, Sri Lanka Navy conducted a disinfection programme at the Medical Faculty hospital in Kotalawala Defence University and Teaching Hospital-Kalubowila. Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Navy is conducting lot of sterilization programmes in the public places. Accordingly, under the guidance of Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe, Medical Faculty hospital in Kotalawala Defence University and Teaching Hospital-Kalubowila premises were sterilized by the Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit attached to the Western Naval Command, today. Considering the control of the spreading new coronavirus in these hospital premises where large number of patients are treated daily, all wards and locations were sterilized following the standard operational procedures.
