Wash your hands and the soap bar

The people should wash their hands with soap for about 30 seconds and then wash and clean the soap bar in order to prevent COVID-19 infections,  Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.

There is no shortage of soap bars and soap is available freely in shops. Soap bars are adequate to kill the germ. Only two persons should visit all types of patients who undergo medical treatment at hospitals islandwide and the National Identity card numbers of the two visitors should be indicated in the two passes issued for one patient.

Dr. Jasinghe pointed out that all who were in Turf Club Tent during the recent Royal Thomian big match need to undergo home quarantine and they should act with a social responsibility in order to prevent COVID-19 spreading in the country.

On two early occasions two individuals and some of their family members acted irresponsibly putting the entire society in danger. One is a gem businessman and the other is a person who returned from UK. They endangered the public clearly knowing that they are infected with COVID-19, he added.
