The curfew was lifted for a few hours in some parts of the country while it continued in some other parts. In the areas where it was lifted, people rushed to banks and supermarkets to attend to their daily needs. Police were on hand to guide them on keeping a distance from each other in an orderly manner in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. This ensured that everyone got an opportunity to buy provisions and attend to other needs such as banking. In the areas where the curfew continued, police checked the few motorists on the roads for their curfew passes and those who were on the roads without a valid reason, permit or essential service ID cards were taken into custody.
