Hotlines, help for tourists

The special Tourist Information Centre set up by the Government to help foreign tourists in Sri Lanka, inconvenienced by the Covid-19 outbreak began operations yesterday.

The information centre set up at the premises of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Colombo 3, has three hotlines; 0112437059, 0112437060 and 0112437055.

Officials at the centre will coordinate with other relevant government authorities in providing immediate solutions to issues faced by foreign tourists in Sri Lanka. When solving issues faced by foreign tourists, the centre will closely coordinate with the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak headed by Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva.

The tourists information centre has been setup following instructions by the Prime Minister.
