The Police Department yesterday ordered the closure of night clubs, spas, karaoke restaurants and betting centres until further notice to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
A senior Police officer said that legal action would be taken against their owners and managers , if they do not comply with the Police instructions.
The Health authorities have calculated that more than 1,000 returnees are yet to be quarantined in the Puttalam district and the Kochchikade Police Division.
