In an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, the Navy threw its weight behind the sanitisation of the Trincomalee Bus Station on Tuesday.
In the backdrop where the novel coronavirus has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, the government has taken several steps to control the spread of the disease.
Accordingly, under the directives and guidance of Navy Commander, Vice-Admiral Piyal de Siva, the Navy’s ‘Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Unit’ attached to the Eastern Naval Command sanitised the main bus station of Trincomalee.
