In celebration of International Women’s Day 2020, Sampath Bank is making efforts to do their part for the women of Sri Lanka by partnering with a number of leading hospitals, offering all Ladies 1st account holders a series of discounts and services.

This promotional period will run from March 8 to March 31. As International Women’s Day is a focal point in the movement for the rights and well being of women, Sampath Bank seeks to do their part with this initiative by giving back to and celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of Sri Lanka’s women.

Together with hospitals partners which include Nawaloka Hospitals, Asiri Hospitals, Hemas Hospitals, MediHelp Hospital and Ninewells Hospital, all new and existing Ladies 1st account holders will be able to benefit from discounts up to 40% on essential medical tests specifically for women.

These include general, basic and comprehensive health screenings, pap smears, mammograms, angiograms, lab tests, pre-marital screenings, diabetes health checks and many more. Customers can walk into anyone of these hospitals and benefit from these discounts by simply paying with their Ladies 1st debit card.

If a customer is not a Ladies 1st account holder as yet, they can visit any Sampath Bank branch to open and make use of the many benefits of this product as long as they are a female Sri Lankan citizen over the age of 18.

The Ladies 1st account is a unique savings account for the modern Sri Lankan women with a promise of more financial freedom, convenience, and advantages. Account holders will be able to enjoy a higher interest rate than a normal savings account, a branded passbook and Visa debit card and investment plans up to five years. Additionally, Ladies 1st account holders will also enjoy discounted rates of 0.25% below the current rate for personal loans, housing loans, vehicle loans and leasing facilities.

As a financial intuition that is grateful for the community that it operates in, Sampath Bank understands the value of Sri Lanka’s Women. From the career woman to the lady that keeps the household together, every successful story would not have been complete without the presence of a woman.
