Face mask shortage in Kurunegala and Puttalam

There is a severe shortage of face masks at pharmacies in both Kurunegala and Puttalam districts.

Many residents say that certain pharmacies are selling these at very high prices by capitalizing on the trend. The Consumers Affairs Authority (CAA) has deployed about 500 investigators to nab the errant traders, who sell mouth covers at exorbitant prices as per the instructions of the Government said R.Jayaweera, Kurunegala District Asst.
