SLAF CBRNE wing continues quarantine measures at BIA

The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) continues to assist in the quarantining and disinfecting effort hand in hand with medical teams at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

All passengers arriving from countries where the coronavirus has spread are properly disinfected and handed over to Army personnel who transport them to the respective quarantine facilities.

Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sumangala Dias also visited Air Force troops deployed at the BIA yesterday. The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station BIA, Air Commodore Janaka Amarasinghe and the Commanding Officer of the SLAF CBRNE Wing, Wing Commander Nilendra Perera briefed the Air Force Commander on the present situation at the BIA.
