Trincomalee District carom team beat Ampara District carom team in the final to emerge men’s champions while Batticaloa district team clinched the women’s title beating Trincomalee district team in the final as the Eastern Province Carom Tournament, which was held as part
of the Eastern Province Sports Festival-2020, concluded at the Weber Sports Complex Indoor Stadium, Batticaloa recently.
This Carom tournament was organized by Eastern Province Sports Department Director N.M.Nowfees. Trincomalee, Batticaloa and Ampara Districts Carom teams took part in this competition.
The Amapara district carom team included captain M.H.Jainudeen, I.L.Shaifdeen, M.Christy, N.T.Naleem, M.Hayam and M.M.Mubeen.
Eastern Province Sports Department coach A.W.M.Basith, Senior District Sports Officer A.H.Wimalasena and sports officers were all participated.
