All preschools closed until further notice

All Pre-schools island-wide will be closed until further notice due to COVID19 (novel coronavirus) concerns. The date they will recommence will be notified later.

Under the guidance of Women, Child Affairs and Social Security Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, this decision has been taken in consideration of the health of the pre-school children, Ministry spokesman said.  

“All provincial secretaries have already been aware about this decision.” he said
