Protest

The members from several social service organizations staged a protest in Batticaloa against the Government’s decision to turn the Batticaloa Campus and the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Center into quarantine facilities. They also demanded the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital not to receive patients who are tested positive for COVID-19. However, the protestors dispersed after the Hospital Director assured them that no positive cases would be brought to the hospital and instead, they would be sent to Colombo.
