“We have to admit the fact that last couple of years the business environment was not very conducive for the growth of businesses. The situation was further aggravated due to Easter Sunday terror attack happened in April 2019.”

“We observe a new government is going to be elected by the people of Sri Lanka very soon so I believe the fresh hopes are emerging at the horizon. In this context FCCISL, being the apex body and the business voice of the chamber movement in Sri Lanka has a specialized role to play in motivating the businesses.”

However, FCCISL face few challenges such as growth in activity portfolio, maintaining the share of voice, making the presence at world forums while increasing the income substantially.

I believe this is the area where Sri Lanka can get the instant benefit and we make use of this opportunity.”
