Another Kelaniya campus undegrad remanded

Another student who was arrested on the charge of removing the CCTV camera equipment fixed at the Kelaniya University was ordered to be remanded till March 17 by Mahara Acting Magistrate Deshal Paul yesterday.

Kiribathgoda police informed court that five undergraduates have been arrested in connection with the incident and investigations are going on to arrest nearly 20 students.

Police produced the suspect in court after he surrendered to the police yesterday morning. Lawyers Nalin Akmeemana and Sudarshana Wickremaratne appeared for the suspect.
