The 68th Battle of the Golds between Moratu Vidyalaya and Sri Sumangala College Panadura will be worked off on 6th and 7th March 2020 and the 22nd limited overs match too will be played at De Soysa Stadium Moratuwa. This year Vidyalians will be captained by Madushan Dilakshana and his deputy will be Rashan Kavishka. Sumangalians will be led by Anuka Jayasinghe while his vice captain is Tharana de Silva.

The highest run getter for Vidyalians is Niraj Kavishka with 448 runs and the most runs for Sumangalians is scored by the wicket keeper of the side Imeth Gampola with 695 runs. The highest wicket taken for Vidyalians is Eran Harsamal with 61 wickets while the Sumangalians Skipper has claimed 68 wickets for them. The two coaches are Prasanna Disanayake of Vidyalaya and Manoj Charaka of Sri Sumangala.

The two Principals Hemasiri Athaudage of Vidyalaya and Dimuthu Deranagoda of Sri Sumangala are making all the efforts to make this big match a success along with the teachers and the past pupils.

 

Both teams are evenly balanced and the spectators can witness a keen tussle on both days and exiting cricket at the limited overs match.
