SLTB to inspect all luxury buses

Passenger Transport Management and Power and Energy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera directed the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) officials to inspect all super luxury buses deployed for passenger transport services along the Southern Expressway.

Minister Amaraweera issued this directive after taking into consideration the incident in which a new super luxury bus recently added to the existing fleet on the Southern Expressway was destroyed after catching fire on March 1 due to a technical fault near Imaduwa in Kokmaduwa.
