Job interviews held for youth from low income families in Udadumbara

Youth from low income families in 63 Gramaseva Divisions in the Udadumbara Divisional Secretariat Division have been interviewed from February 26 to 28 to provide them with jobs.

Divisional Secretariat Sujani R. Wijetunga and several army personnel from the 11th Division Headquarters in Kandy conducted the interviews in parallel to the island-wide programme led by the Presidential Task Force to select candidates from low income families for jobs. Selected applicants will be provided with six- months training under the Defence Ministry and tri-forces.

The priority has been given for the applicants from the low income families who passed six subjects with two credits at the O/L Exam.

Over 1,000 job seekers have presented for the interviews in the last three days.
