TNA to participate in more discussions in Geneva - Sridharan

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Kilinochchi Parliamentarian S. Sridharan told the media that even though the government delegation that arrived in Geneva to attend the UN Human Rights Council meeting returned to Sri Lanka, the TNA delegation will take few more days to return.

Sridharan said that he and few more members are staying in Geneva including Ananadi Sashiharan. A few discussions will be held in Geneva to discuss the rights of the Tamil People, he said.

Sridharan said that the Tamil Diaspora has organised several meetings in Geneva and several discussions will be held with international representatives.

“Speaking at the UNHRC sessions in Geneva, Minister Dinesh Gunawardena made clear the government's position but according to UN High Commissioner Michelle Baslee, Sri Lanka could not easily withdraw from the proposals.

Anandi Sashiharan is planning to have discussions on the missing persons during the war time,” he added.
