Walawa farmer families to get title deeds soon

Title deeds will be provided for the farmer families in the Walawa Special Development Zone of the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority under the ‘Vision of Prosperity’ of the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa now.

Mahaveli Business Manager Osman de Silva said farmer families in Chandrikawewa, Kiriibbanwewa, Suriyawewa, Maurapura, Murawesihena, Agunakolapellessa, and Tissapura will get title deeds for their lands before long.

Over 57,875 hectares are under the Walawa Mahaweli Development Zone and of them 71672 plots of lands have been provided with title deeds, he said. About 43,741 plots of land have to be provided with title deeds, he said.
