Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya, Wadduwa Boys Under 20,18 and 16 Volleyball Teams emerged Overall Champions in their Kalutara education divisional Inter-school Volleyball Championship which was held on 19th Wednesday at the Wadduwa Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya Ground.
This tournament was successfully organized by the Kalutara education zonal sports unit under the guidance of the I.S.A. officer Rasika Dharmakeerthi with the help of the Kalutara education zonal
sports unit officials. A large number of Players participated in this tournament from all parts of the Kalutara education divisional school's and the Champion's teams and runner up teams will participate in the upcoming Kalutara education zonal Volleyball Championship 2020. which will be held on march 16th and 17th at the same play Ground
RESULTS;
Boys under 20 championship:
Wadduwa, Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya Boys volleyball team recorded an easy victory over the Kalutara Tissa central college volleyball team by two sets nill and emerged overall under 20 Champions.
Boys under 18 championship:
In the midst of fierce competition Wadduwa Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya boys volleyball team recorded a thrilling victory over the Kalutara, Nagoda Maha Vidyalaya boy's volleyball team by two sets to nil crowned as overall under 16 Champions.
Boys under 16 championship:
Wadduwa, Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya boys volleyball team recorded massive victory over the Kalutara, Nagoda Maha Vidyalaya boy's volleyball team by two sets to nil and were placed overall under 16 Champions.
