The Thripitaka Pirith Chanting by 48 Bhutanese Buddhist monks to invoke blessings on Sri Lanka, its people, and the Government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa commenced yesterday morning at the Manelwatta Nagananda International Buddhist Centre in Kelaniya yesterday (12) morning.

The King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck assisted in making this event a success thereby strengthening bi-lateral ties. Vice Chancellor of the Manelwatta Nagananda International Buddhist Centre Ven.Bodagama Chandima Thera said Chief Incumbent of the Bodh Gaya temple Ven. Dr. Dodangoda Rewatha Thera and former Speaker of Bhutan Dasu Pasan Dorji coordinated in making this event a success.
