India gives special flight for PM’s return

PM RETURNS: Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa who was in India on a four day state visit returned to Sri Lanka yesterday afternoon in a special flight arranged by the Indian government.It was Prime Minister Rajapaksa’s first official state visit since assuming duties in the new government. PM Rajapaksa met Indian Premier Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, former PM Manmohan Singh, and former leader of the Indian Congress Party Rahul Gandhi for bilateral talks. Following the diplomatic meetings, the Premier visited Varanasi, Saranath, Bodhgaya, and Thirupathi as well. (Pictures by PM’s Media).
