Pakistan Air Force Air Chief calls on Prime Minister

Visiting Pakistan Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anver Khan called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on February 6 afternoon.

The discussions held paid attention towards promoting friendly relations between the two countries and strengthening defence co-operation among them. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa thanked the Pakistan Air Chief for the assistance Pakistan granted to Sri Lanka during the war against LTTE terrorism. He also express his deep appreciation for the assistance and co-operation extended for training officers of various grades in the Sri Lanka Air Force and requested the Pakistan Air Force Commander to pay attention towards expanding such training opportunities.

Former Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris, Former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Sri Lanka Air Force Commander Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias were present.
