A National Economic Policy which is needed for international trade has been under discussion for long. In this regard, the Professionals National Front established a public commission. The set of proposals which were handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa contains a wide range of ideas that were gathered by the public commission.
It was noted that since there was no National Economic Policy, the economic policies of the country were subjected to changes when the government changed and it had a serious effect on the development and stability of the country.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa also paid a visit to the exhibition that was organised under the theme ‘Gaining real freedom through composition of policies after 72 years of Independence’.
