Sithula excels for St. John’s

The right hand batsman, right arm leg spinner and captain of St. Joseph’s College Nugegoda Sithila Tissera has excelled in the on going under 13 division three cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and his performances with the ball carried a long way for Nugegoda Josephians to enter the third round.

So far they have participated in seven matches and Sithula has captured 37 wickets for 157 runs at an average of 4.5.

In the first round playing in four matches he has claimed 18 wickets for 63 runs and in the second round in three matches he has bagged 19 scalps for 94 runs.
