One drop batsman Ravindu Rashantha and fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka starred with bat and ball respectively for Sri Lanka in their massive 233-run win over Nigeria in a Plate quarterfinal match of the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup played at Potchefstroom on Monday.

Rashantha struck a 111-ball unbeaten 102 (7 fours, 2 sixes) as Sri Lanka raced to an imposing total of 306-7 in 50 overs. Opener Mohamed Shamaaz (56 off 73 balls) and Sonal Dinusha (43 off 36 balls) also contributed to the score.

Nigeria in reply were routed for 73 in 17.3 overs by the pace of Madushanka who finished with figures of 5 for 36 and the spin of Kavindu Nadeeshan (3/6).

Both Sri Lanka and England who beat Japan by nine wickets in another Plate quarterfinal game move to the semi-finals.
