Weera Puran Appu Model School Moratuwa has booked a berth in the third round of the ongoing under 13 division three cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association for the Singer Trophy. They participated in seven matches, so far and won six and one drawn as such they are one of the unbeaten teams of division three. They are captained by Senura Nimthera and is deputy is Shenal Sasmitha. Senal who is an allround has given his best to the team and so far he has scored 270 runs and claimed 26 wickets. He bats right hand and bowls right arm medium pace. They are coached by Jayanga Sudesh while Lakmal Perera and Mrs H L Rupaleka are the Prefect of Games and Teacher in Charge of Cricket respectively. In the second round they beat formidable Moratu Vidyalaya and Maharagama Central and drew with Dharmaraja Vidyalaya Piliyandala.
