SLA flight to bring back Lankan students in China

A special SriLankan Airlines (SLA) flight will leave for China this morning to bring Sri Lankan students studying in China, where the coronavirus is fast-spreading.

Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Medical Unit Dr. Chandrika Bandara Wickramasuriya said that 50 students studying in China returned to Sri Lanka yesterday evening by two airlines belonging to China Eastern Airlines.

China Eastern flight MU 713 departed from the Kunming Airport at 5:54 p.m., while MU 231 departed from the Shanghai Airport at 6:34 p.m.

Dr. Wickramasuriya further said that Sri Lankan students who returned yesterday are reported to be in sound health and have gone back to their homes.
