Sooriyawewa to house South Asia’s largest IT university

Minister Bandula Gunawardena said he would set up South Asia’s largest information technology and innovation university in Sooriyawewa with investment from local and foreign investors. He said that an extent of 1,800 acres was allocated for this purpose by the previous Rajapaksa regime. A building complex to house this university was almost completed, but the yahapalana regime that gained power in 2015 had abandoned it.
