CNCI to conduct seminar on Modernized Customs Procedure & Imports/Exports Documentation

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneer industry chamber in Sri Lanka has organized a comprehensive full day Seminar on “Modernized Customs Procedure & Imports/Exports Documentation”. CNCI has studied that many company employees engaged in the logistics and Imports & Exports Administration do need development in the areas of Customs Procedure and Imports/Exports Documentation for their professional efficiency as well as their personal development.

With the rapid advancement of Technology, the customs procedures are changed constantly in a manner that the table and counter activities are more user friendly. We have witnessed that, since in the recent past, Sri Lanka Customs has been taking tremendous efforts to introduce and implement efficient upgrades to several activities and processes to facilitate international trade. In such scenario, the Chamber CNCI deems it useful to update its members with the modernized Customs Procedures.

This important Seminar has been scheduled to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo 03.

Deputy Directors of Customs CSA Chandrasekare, TGA Arachchi and Deputy Superintendents of Customs KPDCH Kaushalya and IUS Jayarathne with their grand expertise and decades of experience in the field will conduct the seminar by sharing novel ideas of ground realities and clearing any doubts and queries.

The areas expected to be covered at the seminar include Customs Import/Export Procedures, Modernization of Customs Procedure, Bond Procedure, TIEP Scheme, Entrepot Trade and Multi Country Consolidation.
