Two nabbed with Cannabis

The Navy apprehended 02 persons with about 10kg of Local Cannabis at Kiriibbanara in Sooriyawewa area during a raid conducted with the assistance of the Excise Office-Hambanthota.

The Navy, in support of making a drug-free society, conducted this joint raid with the Excise Office in Hambanthota had observed two suspicious persons who were traveling on a motor bike.

By search of it found about 10kg of Local Cannabis in the possession of the two suspects. Accordingly, the two suspects were taken into custody.

The accused have been identified as 21 and 33– year – old residents of Sevanagala area.

Hambanthota Excise Office is conducting further investigation into the incident.
