Vocational training for the differently-abled

The Thelambuyaya Vocational Training Centre in Angunakolapelessa, Hambantota, has commenced courses for differently-abled youth in the Southern region.

These training courses include agriculture, crafts, tailoring, electronics, computer studies, cooking, and baking. According to instructors, the courses are free and will have a one to two-year duration. An institute spokesman said students who wish to get boarded would receive free lodging, and that the Department of Social Services would fund these training programmes.
