Three re-remanded over robberies

Three individuals, including a father and a son, who were in remand prison in connection to several robberies, were re-produced before the Dambulla Magistrate’s court on Wednesday (8). Magistrate I.M.S.B. Illangasingha remanded them and postponed the case.

Later, they were produced before an identification parade in the court premises where they were identified by the victims.

Police informed the court that one of the suspects had served long-term imprisonment in connection to another robbery which he had committed earlier. After he was released from the jail, he had again been involved in robberies with his son. At present, both of them with another suspect are in custody.

Dambulla Police are conducting further investigations.
